Rewrite the story.

Rewrite the story.

Challenging assumptions. Tackling stereotypes. Changing the narrative.

it’s time to rewrite the story of homelessness.

35% of people experiencing homelessness in the UK have been deliberately hit or kicked.

Almost half have been intimidated or threatened with violence.

The ‘Home Truths’ project aims to tackle this empathy gap through education, dismantling the misconceptions surrounding homelessness - and empowering young people to change the narrative.

The uk’s first homelessness curriculum

For the first time, ‘Home Truths’ has put together a full citizenship curriculum aimed at Years 7-9.

Through engaging lessons and real-life stories, students will explore the deep-rooted causes of homelessness and the cycles that prevent people from escaping it.

Through fostering empathy and genuine understanding, the program empowers students to look beyond stereotypes and inspires them to make a positive difference in their communities.

Together, we can change the narrative around homelessness forever.

"Home is not where you live, but where they understand you."
